A cool morning, a yard full of birds, and a kitty on a mission. What more could a werecat want? Beta Heller Wirth has it all, except a mate—a shifter mate, that is. The last thing he wants is one of those dangerous humans who kill without remorse. Heller knows about that firsthand. So what does the goddess Bast do? She gives Heller exactly what he does not want—a human: business owner Lawson Dupre.

Lawson hasn’t a clue what just happened in his car detail shop. One minute a cute client is about to pass out, and then he perks up and starts flirting. Next thing, he runs out the door like the hounds of hell are after him. Learning that Heller is a werecat doesn’t freak out Lawson. He happens to be one of those rare humans who knows paranormals exists. He even lives with one. Ha encore meilleur que le premier, moins de sexe dans celui-ci mais des scènes quand même chaudes. Dans le premier tome Heller avait fait la tête à Dolf pour la venue de Kirk, il refusait d'être en présence de l'humain et à très mal agi même si il fini par sauver la vie de Kirk. Tout le monde sait qu'Heller n'aime pas les humains et tout le monde se doute qu'une histoire se cache derrière le tout. Alors quand Heller trouve enfin son mate et que celui-ci est humain... c'est tout un début d'histoire.

C'est vraiment bon car en plus d'Heller et Lawson, il y a les histoires de tous les autres qui s'y mélange, Jannelle, Marshell (qui m'a fait mourir), Remi, Dolf, Kirk, Tal etc... L'intrigue avec le loup-garou, je ne peux pas dire ce qui se passe mais disons que j'ai hâte de lire le troisième.

Les personnalités de Lawson et Heller sont vraiment complémentaires et tous les deux ensemble nous nous retrouvons avec un couple drôle, charmant, fragile... Lawson qui ressemble à un zombie aligné sur sa tasse de café le matin, il m'a fait trop rire et Heller avec son insécurité, son besoin d'avoir Lawson à ses côtés c'était trop émouvant.

Si vous avez aimez le premier qui était quand même un m/m/m avec léger BDSM, alors je ne vois pas comment vous ne pourriez pas aimer celui-ci qui est beaucoup plus vanille.

Quand même trop hâte d'avoir le troisième, ça va faire des flammèches.
