Danny Bright was born to entertain. He just needs his big break. So when he hears that Blue Horizon Records is holding auditions looking for the next big thing, Danny jumps at the chance. It doesn’t turn out exactly as he imagined, though. Instead of getting solo contracts, Danny and four other guys are put into a boy band.

Innocent, idealistic Elliot Price thinks he’s headed for college. An impulsive decision to sing in the local talent search changes all that. A bigwig producer happens to see him, hands him a business card, and turns Elliot’s life upside down.

Elliot and Danny are close from the beginning. They love all the guys, but it’s different with each other. Soon their friendship turns into feelings more intense than either of them can ignore. The other three boys only want Danny and Elliot to be happy, but when their management team and record label discover two of their biggest tween heartthrobs are in a relationship, they’re less than pleased. Danny and Elliot find themselves in the middle of a circle of lies and cover-ups, all with one bottom line—money. They have to stay strong and stick together if they don’t want to lose themselves… and each other.

Je viens de finir Catch my breath de M.J.O'Shea et ben ça faisait longtemps que je n'avais pas apprécié une romance comme ça ... Vous voyez le coté fluffy de Une petite chose? eh bien ici la romance est encore plus cuuuuuute < 3 les deux protagonistes sont adorables ensemble, la romance se fait en douceur il y a des hauts des bas, pas de grands monologue intérieur sur le fait d'être gay ils sont comme ça c'est tout c'est normal Smile
Ce roman parle d'un sujet peu aborder je trouve dans les romans: la vie d'artiste. En effet ici c'est l'histoire d'un "Boy Band" qui démarre 5 jeunes garcons qui débutent dans le métier et découvre la vraie vie d'artiste cad: les caméras, les paparazzis en continu, le paraitre (tellement important), l'image qu'ils doivent donner aux fans, et surtout le business! Pour leur manager ils ne sont pas des chanteurs mais des "produits à vendre" et sont "facilement remplaçable" ...
J'ai beaucoup aimé car pour une fois ce n'était pas des grands discours sur 'je n'ose pas faire mon CO' mais au contraire "je veux faire mon CO mais on m'en empeche"
La romance peut paraitre parfois trop facile mais je trouve qu'elle prend tout de meme son temps (2 mois avant le premier bisou et encore bien plus avant le moindre geste sexuel)
Ici il ne faut pas chercher de grande scène de sexe clairement ce n'est pas le sujet il y en a peut etre une voir deux max tout le reste est suggérer et ça suffit largement l'amour est présent à chaque page de ce livre et quand on veut un peu de douceur ça fait un bien fou!!
L'auteure ne s'attarde pas sur les mauvaises reactions des gens fasse à l'homosexualité, au contraire elle fait ressortir les bonnes (cela peut sembler niais certe du genre "tout est bien dans le meilleur des mondes") mais c'est très agréable car au final on fini le livre sur une note d'espoir et c'est tout ce qui compte <3
Je le redis mais ce livre est pour les gens qui veulent du cute :p
En conclusion? j'ai beaucoup aimé et je le relirai sans aucu doute ^^
Il est en anglais mais le voc est facile à comprendre ^^

Merci pour ton avis, je te dirais qu'après avoir lu Beneath the Stain, j'ai depuis de la difficulté avec les livres de groupes musicaux, difficile de faire mieux que ce livre Very Happy

Je prend quand même en note ton avis, des fois que ça me dirait.
