Lunch or lover? That is the question that appears in werewolf Brody’s mind when he meets lamb shifter Carson. The answer is easy. Simply looking into Carson’s innocent blue eyes tells him that the lamb is his mate. If he’s going to eat Carson up, they’ll both enjoy it.

Carson has been isolated by his flock due to his inability to grow into a strong ram. When he is unexpectedly attacked by his half-brother, he does not expect being rescued by a wolf—let alone falling in love with him.

Premièrement, je dois tout de suite vous dire que ce sont des ROMANCES, avec des shifters, donc on sait comment ça commence et pas mal comment ça fini aussi. Si vous n'êtes pas du genre mates, ou truc léger, oublier tout de suite.

Moi j'aime et plus c'est étrange et plus j'aime, je suis vraiment tordue.

Donc là on est dans un monde moderne ou les shifters ne se tolère pas entre espèces et vivent avec leurs instincts et les loups mangent les moutons. Vous allez me dire, beurk c'est du cannibalisme. Eh bien oui mais on ne le voit pas vraiment, on en entends juste parler.

Carson n'est encore qu'un mouton, il ne sait jamais vraiment développé pour devenir un bélier comme son demi-frère Ray. Un soir en revenant chez lui il est attaqué par son frère et sa bande (qui devrait gardé la ville contre les loups) et Ray se contente de rire alors que ses amis se jette sur lui en ayant à l'idée de le violer. Contre toute attente c'est un loup qui viendra à la rescousse du petit mouton.

Brody en voyant le jeune homme sait qu'il est son mate et de plus comment résister à de si jolis yeux bleus. Il n'a plus qu'une idée en tête maintenant et c'est d'aimer et de protéger Carson.

Les choses ne seront pas si facile, les couples entre shifters ne sont pas acceptés et par personnes pas juste par les loups. Est-ce que Carson et Brody vont finir par vivre leur amour en paix et ainsi initié une nouvelle ère ou est-ce que finalement Carson sera le plat principal du diner?

Comme j'adore ce genre, j'ai bien entendu beaucoup aimé. C'est bien construit, il y a beaucoup de personnages secondaires qui soutiennent le récit et qu'on va revoir plus tard. L'histoire se tient pour une romance shifter-mm-mates.

Comme je suis une midinette, j'ai pleuré à la fin  The Lamb Who Cried Wolf-Scarlet Hyacinth-Mate or meal tome 1 1615610886
et je me suis lancée dans le deuxième dont je vous fais le résumé tout de suite après car j'en suis au troisième lolll

Il y a 15 tomes de parut et je ne sais pas si je vais tous les lire du coup, ça fait pas mal de shifters en amour. Je vais peut-être en lire 5 et lire autre chose et en relire 5 etc.. je ne sais pas. Je vais voir avec l'avancement de la lecture.

Effectivement c'est spécial. J'ai adoré les "baaaah". J'ai fini par me marrer à chaque fois... ah, les gens dans le RER devait me regarder de travers (pour pas changer)
C'est meugnon, triste... mon petit coeur de midinette s'est serré à la décision de Brody.

Tout comme tu dis, une petite romance MM de shifter simple et bien amené.

Personnellement j'ai adoré la fin, elle ne m'a pas fait pleurer mais m'a donné la banane Smile
