By Fire Series: Book Two

Lee Staunton and Dirk Krause have been seeing each other for a couple of months when they get the bad news: the firehouse they work at will be closed unless they can come up with the money to complete some maintenance and repairs. The union wants to stand and fight. There’s just one problem: the only suggestion for how to raise the money is Lee’s. And Dirk hates it.

Unfortunately, everyone else thinks Lee’s “Chicken and Beefcake” dinner—which they’ll attend in just their hats, boots, and fire pants—is a great idea, and Lee goes ahead with the organizing. Bon j'ai été une mauvaise fille loll je devais lire ''sous la surface'' que j'ai acheté la semaine passée avant d'acheter la suite de cette série mais Dirk et Lee me manquaient trop et je voulais vraiment savoir comment se développait leur couple. Donc j'ai acheté les deux tomes suivant et lu le deuxième hier (le troisième c'est pour aujourd'hui).

Donc on retrouve nos deux héros dans une autre petite romance courte qui se lit très bien, j'aime vraiment l'écriture d'Andrew Grey, c'est facile à lire, chaud, romantique, drôle etc...

Donc la station de pompier est menacée de fermer au profit des deux autres stations de la ville mais les pompiers de l'union n'entendent pas rester les bras croisés et Lee à une idée pour apporter plus d'argent à la collecte de fond annuelle est ainsi pouvoir faire les rénovation urgente et avoir une chance de rester ouvert et ne pas perdre son job, car il y a deux choses que Lee ne veux surtout pas perdre et c'est son petit ami Dirk et son job.

Donc pour la vente annuelle de dîner à apporter Lee veux ajouter un souper avec service ou les serveurs seront les pompiers de la caserne ne portant que leur pantalon de travail, leur casque et leurs bottes. Donc torse nu... (j'y serais allé) avec un photographe pour prendre celles et ceux qui veulent en photo etc...

Dirk n'est pas trop d'accord (en fait pas du tout) avec cette idée et comme tous le reste de la caser s'y met avec enthousiasme il est bien le seul et un froid ce crée entre nos deux amoureux.

J'ai vraiment aimé encore une fois et j'ai hâte de lire la suite, il y a eu deux petits trucs qui m'ont accroché, la façon dont Dirk se remémore son comming-out (qui diffère de ce que j'ai lu) et les femmes à la caserne qui arrivent de nul part (en fait il y a 6 moins entre les deux livres alors pas vraiment de nul part mais j'ai quand même tiqué un peu)
